Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed

Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed is a leading British 9-11 Denier. He wrote an early 9-11 CT book called The War on Freedom: How and Why America was Attacked, September 11, 2001. An edited version of the fourth chapter on warnings is on line.

It's certainly an interesting description of the supposed warning signs that were out there; however, you can see the nonsense creep in here:

"The plan has been masterminded by one Ramzi Yousef, who was arrested in Islamabad in the wake of Murad’s interrogation. Both Murad and Yousef were extradited to the United States, tried and convicted for complicity in the 1993 attack on the WTC. The date of Yousef’s conviction was 11 September 1996. From that point, given the fascination terrorists have with anniversaries, 11 September should surely have become a watch date.”[11]

Yousef was convicted on September 5, 1996, not September 11, and he was convicted in that trial for conspiring to create Operation Bojinka, not for complicity in the 1993 WTC attackl. He was convicted on November 12, 1997 for the WTC bombing.

Robin Hordon

Robin Hordon claims to have been an air traffic controller until 1981, when he was fired along with the rest of the members of PATCO (the air traffic controllers' union) by Ronald Reagan when they engaged in an illegal strike.

Hordon believes that the planes should have been shot down on 9-11.

“There had to be something huge to explain why those aircraft weren’t shot down out of the sky. We have fighters on the ready to handle these situations twenty-four-seven. We have NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) monitors monitoring our skies twenty-four-seven. We have a lot of human beings, civilian and military, who care about doing their jobs.”

The notion that the planes would have been shot down out of the sky is rather absurd. It's a classic case of transferring 9-12 thinking to 9-11. Indeed, had the planes been shot down the 9-11 "Truth" Movement would regularly be calling for Bush's impeachment on the basis of the downed airliners.

Hordon claims that the planes could have been flown by remote control, although oddly he also thinks the hijackers did exist:

But Hordon believes that, if the hijackers really were on the planes and did indeed take over the cockpits as reported, their ability to actually fly the aircraft to their targets is a distinct possibility.

“If anybody thinks that these flight directors weren’t sophisticated enough to be programmed to go to these exact, specific coordinates—WTC One and Two—they’re wrong. It has nothing to do with pilot competence.”

Interesting, because Hordon allies himself with the Pilots for 9-11 Truth, which insists that even skilled pilots could not have hit the World Trade Center.

In the seventies, they were extremely sophisticated with aircraft. Could they commandeer an aircraft in mid-flight right now? Absolutely, in a heartbeat. Clearly the technology is there. It’s been there for a long time.”
It only seems reasonable that if this technology were the most efficient, reliable and discrete means to guarantee the success of such an elaborate operation, the conspirators wouldn’t hesitate to make full use of it.

Hordon also claims to have worked on a hijacking and assisted with another; this should be fairly easy to check. Hordon worked in Boston Center from 1970-1981; were any planes hijacked heading to or from Boston in that timeframe?

Christopher Bollyn

Christopher Bollyn purports to be an independent investigative reporter. Bollyn formerly worked for the American Free Press, but was fired shortly after a bizarre incident where he got into a fight with some police officers who were reportedly engaged in a stakeout near Bollyn's home. Here's Bollyn's own account:

My wife and 8-year old daughter were already there and I asked these men who they were and why they were harassing my street. Why are you driving around with this unmarked car around my house, I asked? Who are you, anyway? They were not at all willing to identify themselves and were very confrontational, to say the least.

I ran to my front door to call my brother when the three of them tackled me and shocked me with some sort of stun-gun. The three men then sat on me and pushed my face in the dirt, handcuffed me and put me in their car.

Bollyn reportedly faces trial on May 31, 2007. The charges are not discussed in this article by Bollyn, but presumably include assault and resisting arrest.

Bollyn wrote for American Free Press for several years. His "work" is cited often in Loose Change and Loose Change 2, but according to Jason Bermas it will not be cited in Loose Change Final Cut. Bollyn is also cited extensively by other 9-11 conspiracy theorists including David Ray Griffin.

Bollyn's an anti-Zionist crackpot who sees the evil hand of the Jew in virtually every situation. As evidence, here is a look at some of the claims Bollyn has made:

Steven Jones was suspended (and subsequently retired) from teaching at BYU as a result of "Zionists".

Before Jones could even discuss his research, however, Fabrizio was aggressively quizzing him on the "Neo-Conservative motivation" for the attacks, and repeatedly pressed him to comment on a subject far outside his field and competence to explain who within the government could have been involved in the attacks if not 19 Arab hijackers with box cutters.

Because Jones is a physicist and is not engaged in the political background of "false flag" terrorism attacks, he reluctantly responded to Fabrizio's question by citing the author Webster Tarpley's analysis that individuals such as Paul Wolfowitz and Richard Perle, who are linked to the "international banking cartel," have been named, by Tarpley, as possible suspects.

Jones was careful to say that these were not his ideas, but Tarpley's, and that these were possible suspects that Tarpley had named.

Jones is generally reluctant to discuss the political implications of his findings, and his comments about Wolfowitz and Perle on the radio program created quite a "buzz on campus," the Deseret Morning News reported.

After interviewing Jones for a brief 20 minutes, Fabrizio said goodbye to Jones and turned the remainder of the hour over to a discussion of conspiracy theories with two Jewish professors, a Robert Goldberg from the University of Utah and Gary Fine from Northwestern.

The first caller was a William Tumpowsky, chairman of the Jewish Community Relations Council and board member of the local Israeli-fund raising organization, the United Jewish Federation. Tumpowsky charged that Jones' was using code language to make anti-Semitic allegations. Goldberg supported this accusation.

Starting from this outrageous allegation, Fabrizio continued the hostile discussion with Goldberg and Fine, with frequent allegations that the now-absent physics professor was nothing more than an anti-Semite indulging in conspiracy fantasies. The most significant evidence brought forth by Jones' research was not even discussed.

Within two days, the authorities at BYU apparently caved to organized Jewish pressure and put Jones on paid leave. Students who had already begun their fall physics courses with Jones will be taught by other faculty members for the rest of the semester as university administrators review his statements and research.

That the Likud government of Ehud Barack in Israel was behind the 9-11 attacks and the war on terror:

The same Zionist gangsters who support the Likud also support the Republican Party. Lewis Eisenberg, Ronald Lauder, and Steven L. Friedman are among the U.S. based Zionists that are deeply involved in the attacks of 9/11.

See: A Bigger Scandal: Illegal U.S. Funding of Sharon's Likud
www.larouchepub.com/other/2003/3003likud_usgangsta.html

When looking at the terror attacks of 9/11, one should ask more than "Cui bono?" It should also be asked: "Who else?"

Who else could have done it? Who else would want to do it? Who else has any reason to do it?

These Zionist leaders are more than war criminals - they are a threat to all of humanity. They must to be stopped, for our sake and the sake of the peace of the world.

Bollyn is also the source for many 9-11 Denial claims (which is why he's cited so often. For example:

The bogus claim that Benjamin Chertoff and Michael Chertoff are related.

Molten steel was found in the basements of three WTC buildings.

Bizarrely, Bollyn has apparently written a book for children, called ABC Zoo. But don't worry, the webpage assures us that the book is:

Completely Free of the frightening, satanic, and psychotic overtones that are so common in the mainstream media today

Ralph Schoenman

Ralph Schoenman is a longtime Leftist activist. He first became prominent in the Vietnam antiwar movement as the general secretary of the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation. He participated in various causes supported by Russell, the famed mathematician and philosopher, including the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and a mock war crimes tribunal against the government of the United States for its actions in Vietnam.

Russell publicly broke with Schoenman in 1969.

When, sometime after the Cuban debacle, he finally took the bit in his teeth and later careered away unrestrained as Secretary General of the War Crimes Tribunal, I became increasingly doubtful of his usefulness to the work and remonstrated with him both frequently and severely. Since his methods, however, have become importunately open to question and, consequently, intolerable, during the last two years, and during the last year can only be termed dishonest, I have felt it necessary to make a definitive break with him.

I did this in my letter to him of July, 1969, to which I received no reply. Towards the end of November, 1969, I was obliged to write again in an endeavour to extract an understanding that he would cease using either my name or my wife’s as he has been doing to support his own work. And in the past few days, I have found it necessary to prepare a public statement of repudiation, since I must, if possible, dissociate myself and my wife from all Ralph’s actions in the minds of all men who will listen.

Russell also describes his impression of Schoenman:

I had said in the first draft that I found him “surprisingly unlicked”. I found him not only impetuous but “aggressive and entirely undisciplined and I realised that these characteristics might well make him seem a ‘dangerous young man’”, as I had been warned that he was, “to anyone of whom he did not approve.” I early recognized his lively instinct for self-dramatization, his swash-buckling assumption of the importance of his own role in the centre of the stage. His conviction of his unshakable belief in the penetration and breadth of his understanding were obvious. I did not for some time, however, grasp the closely related characteristic of his utter incapability of imparting reliable information. His reports of people’s reactions and his observations were—and unfortunately, I fear, still are—very often excessively and misleadingly incorrect and his quotations must always be verified. I was impressed by his courage, both moral and physical, although it too often flouted necessary caution and resulted in unnecessary provocation. And I was impressed by his generosity in helping anyone of whom he thought well or thought to be suffering injustice, although it often led to useless waste of effort and money, both of which might have been far more advantageously spent.

Schoenman does a weekly one-hour show called Taking Aim on WBAI, the (Leftist) Pacifica Radio Network outlet in New York City. He was a featured speaker in the demonstrations by the Deniers in New York City around the fifth anniversary of 9-11. Here's a discussion of a more recent speech by Schoenman:

Ralph Schoenman, the militant left-wing co-host of WBAI radio’s “Taking Aim” program, was the draw for the varied crowd of aging beatniks, East Village couples and singletons and assorted punk anarchists and antiwar activists in black T-shirts. They paid $8 apiece to be told that the tragic events of that day represented an “inside job” and “terror at the top” of the U.S. government.

Schoenman, who once worked for the late Lord Bertrand Russell and with him founded a “Who killed Kennedy?” committee in 1963 after J.F.K.’s assassination, also suggested there had been advance planning before the “steel structures” melted and “pancaked down in seconds.” In addition, he claimed the B.B.C. reported on the collapse of the 7 World Trade Center building before the event transpired. An elderly woman attending the event with her husband kept nodding and murmuring “That’s right!” during much of Schoenman’s remarks, which were interrupted at times with applause.

The event was sponsored by the New York Truth in 9/11 movement, which meets regularly at St. Mark’s. Schoenman received a standing ovation before he took the mic to contend that a “criminal oligarchy” was behind 9/11 and subsequent terror attacks in London and Madrid. The purpose of the attacks, he said, was to create a “culture of terror” to justify suppression of civil liberties and the rise of “security entrepreneurs” and others seeking enrichment in the Middle East.

“Brothers and sisters, this is class warfare,” said the Brooklyn-born radical, who graduated from London’s School of Economics with a master’s degree and became a globe-trotting leader for the Bertrand Russell Peace Commission.

Schoenman wrote a book in the late 1980s called "The Hidden History of Zionism". Among other things, the book claims:

The fourth myth is that of Zionism as the moral legatee of the victims of the Holocaust. This is at once the most pervasive and insidious of the myths about Zionism. Ideologues for the Zionist movement have wrapped themselves in the collective shroud of the six million Jews who fell victim to Nazi mass murder. The bitter and cruel irony of this false claim is that the Zionist movement itself actively colluded with Nazism from its inception.

To most people it appears anomalous that the Zionist movement, which forever invokes the horror of the Holocaust, should have collaborated actively with the most vicious enemy ever faced by the Jews. The record, however, reveals not merely common interests but a deep ideological affinity rooted in the extreme chauvinism which they share.

In terms of his 9-11 CT, here's a video of a speech done by Schoenman. He seems to take much the same approach as Tarpley and Hopsicker, claiming that Atta and others were patsies, that this was a false-flag operation. Surprisingly, there is no mention of "Zionists" although he does bring up the Mossad on several occasions.

Les Jamieson, Confirmed Urantia Member?

Les Jamieson is a major leader of the NY 9-11 Denial group. He debated Ron Wieck memorably on Hardfire back in July of 2006, getting whipped so badly that even the 9-11 Blogger groupies were moaning.

He's also a member of this weird Urantia cult. Quoting from the Wikipedia entry:

The exact circumstances of the origin of The Urantia Book are not known. There is no known human author of the book. It is written as if directly presented by numerous celestial beings appointed to the task of providing a new spiritual revelation to humankind.

The documented history is that a person whose identity has remained unknown received the material from celestial intelligences while asleep. The individual, known as the "sleeping subject" or "contact personality", is said to have been kept anonymous in order to prevent undesirable future veneration or reverence for him.

As early as 1911, Dr. William S. Sadler and his wife Dr. Lena Sadler (born Lena Kellogg), both practicing physicians in Chicago, Illinois, became the attending physicians of the sleeping subject after the individual's wife reported that she could not wake him. Over time, the unconscious subject produced communications that seemed to be from entities who claimed to be spiritual beings. Drs. Lena and William Sadler were respected physicians in Chicago and well known in the community. Dr. William Sadler had a reputation as a debunker of paranormal claims and generally is portrayed as not believing in supernatural claims.

A group of Sadler's friends, former patients, and colleagues originally began meeting for intellectual discussions in 1924, but became interested in the strange communications of the sleeping subject when Sadler mentioned the case and read samples at their request. Shortly afterwards, a communication was received that this group would be allowed to devise questions and that answers would be given by the celestial beings through the contact personality.

You can probably guess the rest of it--the sleeping subject proceeded to dictate the answers to life, the universe and everything, and apparently the answer was not anything quite as simple as 42. Of course, the exact manner in which the sleeping subject conveyed these answers raises a few eyebrows:

The Sadlers and others involved, now all deceased, claimed that the papers of the book were physically materialized from 1925 until 1935 in a way that was not understood even by them, with the first three parts being completed in 1934 and the fourth in 1935.

Now, you know how it is; even major religions have some eyebrow-raising claims. So you want to try not to giggle at this one, but it's definitely tough. Anyway, Jamieson definitely seems to be a member of Urantia. Here's a discussion of his work in South Africa:

The Parliament of World Religions was held in Cape Town, South Africa on December 1-8, 1999. This was an interfaith gathering of over 4,000 religionists from around the world who where there to build relationships, focus on shared beliefs, work towards world peace, and heal the environment. The Urantia Book was represented there at three different booths at which thousands of people passed by and saw the 5th Epochal Revelation. There were about 100 books taken to the event and they all were either sold or given away. It was an incredible thing to witness many cases in which people were drawn to the book as if it were a spiritual magnet and had to have it. Through special efforts, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, who gave plenary speeches, obtained a copy of the Urantia Book. One of our members, Les Jamieson, attended and participated in staffing the booths.

Here's some confirmation it's the same Les:

Photo taken from here.

Nico Haupt, who pointed to this information, appears to believe that Jamieson represents an infiltration by the Urantia cult, but there is no evidence of that. From what this list of the names of some Urantia members, Jamieson is the only recognizable one of any prominence in the 9-11 Denial movement. Indeed, this just seems to be a case of somebody who's into one cult joining another.

Donna Marsh O'Connor

Donna Marsh O'Connor is the mother of one of the 9-11 victims. Her daughter Vanessa died in the South Tower. Donna's a 9-11 conspiracy theorist, as this shows:

“But Bush, Cheney and Karl Rove, at his demonic best, have blocked all chance at getting at the truth. When a crime is committed, you look to who benefits for motive. Bush and Cheney had the most to benefit. All I ever wanted was the questions to be answered. Where was NORAD? Eighteen minutes is a lifetime in air traffic control and if they would have acted, my daughter would be alive today.”

Besides the mystery surrounding the disappearance of NORAD, Marsh-O’Connor provided a litany of unanswered questions not addressed by anyone in government, including the 9/11 Commission.

Here's a clip of her at a 9-11 Denier rally on 9-11-05. As you can see, this is a woman who needs professional help in coping with her grief:
